SHARED SPACES

This exhibition is primarily interested in creating different ways and meanings of ‘sharing’ in the present. how ‘Sharing’, as an understating is been changed, with the arrivals of different power relations, privatized institutions, is been transformed into isolated (or singular) structures?! This exhibition is primarily interested in creating different ways and meanings of ‘sharing’ in the present. how ‘Sharing’, as an understating is been changed, with the arrivals of different power relations, privatized institutions, is been transformed into isolated (or singular) structures?!
How in a larger sense the city itself is sharing its land, people and architecture through different institutional framework?!
In that way, the new meaning of sharing also becomes a new way of control.

The aspect of the framework of the sharing in present itself is controlled by the different levels of subjugations and discrimination. But on another hand, they are co-existing with a diverse range of personal and private territories: culturally, politically, and economically. The exhibition is trying to achieve layered meanings and associations of ‘Shared Spaces’ through architecture, ecology, memory, history, and coexistence of behavioral patterns at different times. This exhibition and the space expecting to showcase a body of work which can add new layers to such larger discussions and propositions. Materially this show will try to open the different trajectories to unfold the complexities of the meaning of ‘Share’, in the present.

‘A Recent Past and it’s Present Future’, is the solo show of Neeraj Patel,
mapping and associating the inevitabilities with the prism of the “Present-Past’s” encounters and further interactions. The idea is to create methodologies, frameworks for responses on the politics of lands, infrastructures, durations, and behaviors as a beholder through one’s living condition. This body of work is interested in tracking the intersubjective experiences, encounters, and engagements through interactions and installations. Starting from the hindrances in this exhibition space to the Deictic nature of the photographs to the didacticism of the industrial goods, the installation is trying
to generate different meanings and associations of layered conflicts. The
present is continuing and connected to the possible futures through different levels of splits, segregations and the effect of Capitalism from different times in the present.
As Neeraj says, his attempt is to produce spaces of traces, history and urban sublime; in relation to the immediate transformations and the capacity of transforming spaces with their ‘Placelessness’.

STREAM OF PASSION

Ausra Kleizaite and Gintare Valeviciute Brazauskienė presented this project by remaining loyal to the concept of continuity. The artists chose a goat as their motif which is strong and symbolic in various religions, cultures and individuals. When the animal totem is humanised and vice versa, the boundaries of physical body differences are eliminated which in turn emphasizes the unity of living energy.
